Welcome to the Buy A Brick website  Fishturtlereef.com operated by the Buy A Brick non-profit organization ("we," "us," or "our"), dedicated to supporting artificial reef projects in Cyprus to enhance marine biodiversity. By accessing or using the Website, including making donations, purchasing reef bricks, booking eco-tourism experiences, or engaging with other services, you ("you" or "user") agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Website.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By using the Website, you confirm that you are at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into this agreement. If you are using the Website on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

2. Services Provided

The Website enables users to:

  • Donate: Contribute funds to support artificial reef projects in Cyprus’ Marine Protected Areas (e.g., Paralimni, Ayia Napa, Larnaca, Amathounta, Dasoudi, Geroskipou).

  • Purchase Reef Bricks: Dedicate eco-friendly reef modules (e.g., concrete or clay-based structures) to promote marine biodiversity.

  • Book Eco-Tourism Experiences: Participate in guided scuba diving or snorkeling tours to visit artificial reef sites or related attractions like the MUSAN underwater museum.

  • Engage with Content: Access educational materials, project updates, and virtual tours related to our conservation efforts.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time without prior notice, subject to applicable laws.

3. User Obligations

By using the Website, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information when making donations, purchases, or bookings.

  • Maintain the confidentiality of your account credentials and notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

  • Use the Website only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these Terms.

  • Refrain from engaging in activities that may harm the Website, such as introducing viruses, attempting unauthorized access, or disrupting functionality.

4. Donations and Purchases

 Crypto Payments are also accepted.
 

  • All payments for donations, brick purchases, or tour bookings are processed through secure third-party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). We do not store your payment information.

    Payments are subject to the terms and conditions of the respective payment processor.

4.2 Non-Refundable Contributions

  • Donations and brick purchases are voluntary contributions to a non-profit cause and are non-refundable, except where required by applicable law.

  • If a donation or purchase cannot be fulfilled (e.g., due to project cancellation), we will notify you and may offer an alternative contribution option or, where required by law, a refund.

4.3 Brick Dedications

  • You may dedicate a reef brick with a name or message, subject to our approval. We reserve the right to reject dedications that are offensive, unlawful, or inappropriate.

  • Dedications may be displayed on the Website or physical reef markers, as specified in your contribution tier.

5. Eco-Tourism Bookings

  • Booking Process: Tour bookings are subject to availability and confirmation. You must provide accurate participant information and comply with safety requirements provided by tour operators.

  • Cancellations:

    • User cancellations made at least 7 days before the tour may be eligible for a refund, less a 20% administrative fee, unless otherwise required by law.

    • We reserve the right to cancel tours due to weather, safety concerns, or other unforeseen circumstances, in which case we will offer a rescheduling option or a refund.

  • Liability: Tours involve inherent risks (e.g., diving hazards). You participate at your own risk, and we are not liable for injuries, losses, or damages, except where liability cannot be excluded under Cyprus law.

6. Intellectual Property

  • Our Content: All content on the Website, including text, images, videos, and logos, is owned by or licensed to us and is protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

  • User Content: By submitting content (e.g., dedication messages, reviews, or photos), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use, display, and reproduce the content for project-related purposes (e.g., promotion, documentation).

  • Restrictions: You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reproduce Website content without our prior written consent, except for personal, non-commercial use.
